Coastal Living Reimagined
Lefkada, Greece
Located along the southern coastline of Lefkada, this residence explores a contemporary interpretation of vernacular coastal architecture—balancing clarity of form with sensitivity to landscape. The design is composed of low, rectilinear volumes carefully positioned along the natural slope, minimizing intervention while maximizing views toward the sea
Stone-clad walls anchor the building within its context, while white stucco surfaces introduce a sense of lightness and geometric precision. The composition is defined by contrast and restraint, allowing material and proportion to drive the architectural expression.
Living spaces are organized to extend outward, with large openings connecting interior areas to shaded terraces and outdoor rooms. A system of pergolas provides passive shading and mediates the transition between built form and landscape, establishing a continuous indoor–outdoor relationship.
Sustainability is addressed through material selection, passive cooling strategies, and minimal site disturbance. The result is an architecture that is grounded, measured, and inseparable from its environment.
